The teams that came to participate were given free stay Lodging and
Boarding by Maharashtra Equestrian Association at hotel Nagina & Holiday inn with facility of vehicles for traveling.

The Equestrian Derby was Won By the team of United Kingdom.
Lawrence School, won the trophy for the best junior team on the concluding day of the National Equestrian championships. The award for the bet junior rider was bagged by National Defence Academy cadet Ravi Rathore, while Diya Lahiri of Lawrence School was adjudged Best Rider in the sub – junior Category.

The special prize was awarded to Chirag Nihalani of the Mahalaxmi Pony
Club, Matheran, for securing first position in the International show Jumping Individual Event

 


2000

Maharashtra Equestrian Association, Mumbai Millennium Horse Show
At Cross Maidan Mumbai. 15th December to 17th December 2000

A Prestigious event done by Maharashtra Equestrian Association which included Friendly International Show Jumping Competition for which Hong Kong Team participated and the event was covered by Doordarshan.

Hong Kong Team participated for friendly competition.

Awareness camps– Camp at Vadala college of Physical Education twice, Azad Maidan twice,Ymca -Bandra ,St Theresa’s High School- Bandra , Don Bosco -Wadala, St Stanislaus at Bandra , Balkanji Wadi – Santacruz , Ryan International School Thakur Village -Kandivli, Gyan Ashram -Andheri twice, Don Bosco- Andheri , etc.Awareness camps in different schools and colleges were done with horses one month in every school and free demonstration lessons were given to all classes for the whole month in which parents could also join, also certificates were given for basic training .After every Camp some competitions were conducted games like fancy dress etc and give prizes to winners of the games.

Maharashtra Equestrian Association has been conducting Training camp, Summer Camps and workshops for students since 1995.
Which helps developing riding skills and competing in horse shows are both personal journeys that come with determination & hard work.
Such skills enhance problem solving abilities, organizational skills, responsibility, confidence, and poise.
Students participating in these sports develop attributes that will make them bright future leaders and worthy candidates for future scholarships.


2002

All India – Sainik / Public Schools & Open Equestrian Championship
16 Jan to 20 Jan 2002, at Balewadi Sports Complex Pune.

in 32nd National games in Hyderabad at Bison Polo Ground

Secunderabad From 13th to 22nd Dec – where First Bronze
medal for Maharashtra in National Games was won by Danny
Swittens .

Junior National Equestrian Championship International Show Jumping Competition from 20 Dec to 30 Dec 2003. At Balewadi Sports Complex Pune,
And Amby Valley Sahara Lake City

Maharashtra Equestrian Association conducted National and International Horse riding Competitions at Amby Valley, Sahara Lake City.
Riders participating in the competition started from Deogarh village near Amby Valley, Sahara Lake City & galloped a distance of more than four kilometers. Approximately 20 – 25 enthusiastic riders participated in the competition. The course for the first Qualifying round and final competition consisted of 12-14 obstacles, which made the race fiery and thrilling. Each rider was released in quick succession at an interval of 3 minutes to circum-navigate the demarked area.

2004

Governors Cup Polo At Mahalaxmi Race course, Mumbai, 15th to 19th March 2004

The equestrian team sport is usually played outside on a field. In organized competition, this field is 300 yards long and 160 yards wide. During the game, four players mounted on horseback attempt to pass the ball down-field to hit it through the goal and score. This is performed using long sticks, called mallets, and either plastic or wooden balls. Balls are known to fly at over 100 miles per hour, as players gallop and race to stay in line with the ball, in what can be a fast-action, exciting game. Six rounds, known as chukkers, last seven and a half minutes and divide each complete two and a half hour tournament.

2005 – Matheran 100 year’s celebration Mahalaxmi Pony Club Patronized the event by inviting the commandant Artillery Centre, Sheriff of Mumbai, Director Amby Valley & all were teams invited in School game with free stay & hospitality , Entries were not charged and travel of one way was offered to teams (Kolhapur , Pune , Mumbai , Nasik.)
Police Team had taken part.

Maharashtra Equestrian Association organized Goa Horse Show,
Hon Chief Minister of Goa PratapSingh Rane inaugurated the event with Equestrian display done by the Army.

In Association with MG&G and SUPPORTED BY Sports Authority Of Goa , govt of Goa.On Campal Ground Panaji – Goa on 22nd April 2206

A Horse Show cum coaching camp was organized by Maharashtra Equestrian Association in Goa.

This event was an effort to spread Equestrian sport and promote horse riding in Goa and introduce Goan Children to this royal sport. Horses from Army units also participated, and all efforts were made to provide Maximum opportunity to local Children the feel of horse riding, to popularize this sport in Goa.

The enthusiasm of young children was tremendous and the level was very high in events like dressage, Tent Pegging, Show Jumping and various other competitions.

34th National Games 2011, Jharkhand: – 3 players participated, one Coach & supportive staff.

Training camp and workshop was conducted for 10 days at Equestrian Centre and Equestrian competition at Raigad for beginners.

Inter – club and Inter – School events held at Pune & Mumbai.
Junior players participated.

Equestrian Federation of India AGM was attended at Delhi

Summer Camp – May 1st Week – Training of Horses & Riders.
– Beginners and players Participated at Raigad event.

December – Training camp – Beginners – camp for 10 days.
– Veterinary camp for horses.


YEAR –2011-12

Training camp and workshop was conducted for 10 days at Equestrian centre and Equestrian competition at Raigad.
Junior National Equestrian Competition and Inter – club events were held at Mumbai.

Inter – club and Inter – School events were held at Pune.

Equestrian Federation of India AGM was attended at Delhi.

Bangalore horse show: – Junior National Equestrian Competition, Bangalore Event – 2012. Approved by Equestrian Federation of India .

9 players participated in Jumping Dressage & tent pegging.

Training camp and workshop was conducted for 10 days at Equestrian Centre and Equestrian competition at Raigad for beginners.

One player participated in international competition in South Africa for tent pegging event.
Training camp and workshop was conducted for 10 days at Equestrian Centre and Equestrian competition at Raigad for beginners.
